A holistic approach

As you prepare to take your first steps into further education, our dedicated university admissions team is here to make the journey smooth and stress-free. We have an outstanding track record placing students from around the world into the finest UK and US universities. So whether we’re navigating the courses on offer, or preparing you for the specific entry requirements ahead, our holistic approach will help secure the future you want.

For us, consultancy is more than the paperwork – we want you to find a mentor, a likeminded spirit who will understand and support your learning goals. We’ll always try to match you with a consultant that studied in the same field, or at the university you’re targeting, so they can share both their personal and professional perspectives.

It all begins with an in-depth discovery, where we’ll discuss your options and outline the application and entrance process for each target university. We also spend time building an educational profile – supported by an academic assessment where necessary – to gain a complete picture of your needs, and how we can best support them.

University visits, registrations, application forms – we’ll support you with all of the details. And when the offers come through, we will help you assess your next steps, and put in place the targeted support to ensure you achieve your aspirations.

UK applicants

From Oxbridge to LSE, London Business School to the University of St Andrews – we’ve placed students at top institutions across the UK. But our journey there is always tailored to each individual, helping find the subject, course and location that will give our students the experience they seek. We’ll unpick UCAS application complexity, keeping the process on track from first draft to final submission. And armed with critical insights and top tricks, we’ll help you write the most effective personal statement.

Oxbridge applicants

Many courses at Oxford and Cambridge require specific entrance exams, and almost all have a face-to-face interview. Prospective Oxbridge students will be placed with Oxbridge graduates, who understand first-hand what it takes to secure a coveted place. They will cover all aspects of the application, from advising on your personal statement and providing additional reading, to working on your interview technique and any subject-specific assessments.

Interview coaching

With application experience across the board, our interview coaching is carefully targeted to recreate the particular conditions – and demands – you’ll face. We’ll run through question after question, helping hone your answers so you’re ready to put your best foot forward when the day comes. And as much as we focus on the nuts-and-bolts of interview preparation, we’ll also help you feel comfortable with ambiguity, to adapt, and think on your feet – all skills that will serve you well, long beyond interview day.

US applications

For students looking to study stateside, there are additional complexities to overcome. Our dedicated US college consultancy team is highly experienced in the application process and can support with course and institution research, SAT/ACT tutoring, interview training and application preparation – as well as providing much-needed guidance on the ground.

Application strategies

When it comes to US applications, early planning is key. Not all colleges follow the same process, and there are critical decisions to be made about when to apply too. Building a robust strategy that encompasses all these elements, we’ve helped students into some of the country’s leading colleges, including Harvard, Columbia, Yale and UCLA.

We begin by identifying exactly what you’re looking for, whether that’s big city or calm campus, East Coast energy or West Coast charm. We’ll help you plan your application timeline and consider your extracurricular activities to demonstrate the potential and commitment colleges are looking for. Expectations for personal statements differ greatly in the US, so we’ll guide you through what’s required here. And of course, we’ll focus on honing your SAT and ACT scores – leading with extensive diagnostic tests in order to match you with specialist tutors across reading, writing, English, maths and science.

Early action versus early decision

Unlike the UK, some US colleges offer the option for early action and early decision applications, months in advance of the regular decision deadline. It’s important to understand the advantages and disadvantages of all three routes – for example, early decision applications have a higher acceptance rate, but these are binding offers. Early action plans allow you to apply at multiple schools, while you can only choose one college for an early decision application. Our experienced team will help you understand and weigh up all the options ahead of you, in line with your academic and social aspirations, devising a tailored application strategy to aid decision-making and boost your chances of success.

So wherever your further education journey takes you, our breadth of expertise means we’re well placed to help you navigate all the opportunities the world holds – as we guide you towards a future as fulfilling as it should be.
