Perhaps one of the most challenging subjects studied to GCSE, physics can be a daunting prospect. And for those continuing to A-level, there’s a significant jump in pace and content.
Our physics tutors are all passionate scientists, and have worked with children just starting out, all the way to university students, post-graduates and adult learners. So we understand that putting in place the right foundations, and tackling technical skills as well as course content, is the key to success at any level.
It’s all relative
Like its sister subject maths, physics really isn’t to be feared. With the right support, and plenty of practice, it’s a logical and satisfying subject to master. Unlocking careers as diverse as agriculture and engineering, the problem-solving skills it provides can be applied across disciplines.
Although physics is often taken alongside maths, our tutors adapt their approach to ensure all the critical material is covered – revisiting and reinforcing core concepts that will stand students in good stead.
But we believe it’s about more than just repeating curriculum content. We work with our students to develop effective learning techniques – that can be applied across subjects. From managing their time and reading the question properly, to executing under exam pressure, these are the foundations that see our students thrive.
Taking inspiration – and our name – from an ancient symbol of knowledge, we want Figtree to embody both the wisdom of experience and the power of continual growth.
We understand that by choosing Figtree as your tutoring agency, you’re putting your trust and your child’s future – or your future – in our hands. And that’s not a responsibility we take lightly. That’s why we’re always ready to go the extra mile – whether that’s checking-in outside hours, providing a unique support network for our tutors to tap into, or simply offering a listening ear when you need us.
